iPads for In-Library

iPad and Apple pen checkout for in-library use!

  • Are you interested in exploring design in ProCreate?
  • Do you want to edit media (i.e. photos, video or music)?
  • Do you want to play games?
  • Do you want to browse online resources and not sit at the computers?

If you answered yes to any of those questions or they got you thinking about what you would like to do if you had access to an iPad/Apple Pen, then come to talk to the circulation desk about how you can check one out to use in the library! Through a grant from The Elks, the library was able to purchase 8 iPads for Lego Robotics. Since then, we have bought 8 Apple Pens to carry out programs such as the ProCreate classes. These classes are an intro to ProCreate and the iPad capabilities. Not long after, Matt, our adult services coordinator, had the idea to make these iPads accessible to the public! There are a few policies and procedures we have to work out, but we are almost there and looking forward to making these available to Lake County cardholders.
