For our next step with our Feasibility Study, we need to hear from you! Our new survey is now live and we can't wait to hear your opinions!

Click our link here to be taken to Counsilman Hunsaker's website (one of the agencies the county has hired to help conduct the study) where you can complete the survey in roughly 15 minutes. The survey allows you to rank features you want in order of importance.

Your responses will help us formulate plans that meet the community's expectations, needs, and desires in the most supportive way possible. The county wants this to be a place for everyone to be able to enjoy and we can't create that without hearing your voice!

On Wednesday, May 22 we held our first public meeting for the Lake County Multi-Use Building project. The meeting was attended by approximately 60 people, food was provided as well as childcare, Spanish interpretation, and a virtual option and went over the very basics of this project.

This study is to determine what the possibilities are for a Lake County Multi-Use building that would potentially include the library, senior center, aquatic center, and more. We'll be looking into different potential sites in the county as well as conducting community needs assessments so that we can match costs and benefits to the community needs.

At this stage no features are set/guaranteed. This is a living process that will change as we do more research and as we get more feedback from residents like you!

The team we chose to lead us through this process (OLC) was selected after a public RFP process last year. The team selected is lead by OLC (architecht of record) and also includes Anderson Hallas Architects (library specialists), PROS Consulting (market study/operations proforma), and Counsilman-Hunsaker (aquatics specialist). In addition to their collective expertise in municipal buildings like this project, they stressed the priority of wanting community involvement to help guide the process. We want this project to benefit Lake County residents for generations to come and feedback is vital to making this a place everyone looks forward to using.

To keep up with this 6-9 month long study process, the team is curating a website just for us! Click this link to view the website, read about the process, and access the Q&A section
