Dear library lovers!
We are happy to announce that in 2024 we will be conducting a feasibility study for a new building in full partnership with PROS (Parks Rec and Open Spaces) and the Senior Center
For this collaborative project, we will be evaluating the feasibility of a multi use building that will include:
Library
Recreation center
Aquatic center
Senior Center
Cafe and kitchen space
Child Care center
The study will be led by OLC and Anderson + Hallas and will take place over the course of about 9 months. They will also be working with a number of specialized contractors, such as Counsilman Husaker, who will be providing the evaluation of the aquatic center.
There will be 3 phases:
Phase 1: Project Overview, market analysis, needs assessment, initial program development:
Demographic analysis
Service provider gap analysis
Initial Budget evaluation
Phase 2: Programming, Master Planning/Design, Site Analysis, and Cost Estimates to Proceed
Program analysis
Concept design
Site Determination
Project capital cost
Phase 3: Operation Analysis, Funding Evaluation, Final Report
Partnership identification and funding strategy
Detailed financial plan
Most importantly, there will be robust public engagement throughout the study that will include:
In-person and virtual meetings
Partnership building
Social media
Media relations
