The Lake County Public Library Trustees are appointed by the Lake County Board of County Commissioners, in accordance with the Colorado Library Law (Colorado Revised Statutes, Title 24, Article 90, Section 108). The Board's powers are defined in the Colorado Library Law.

Board Vacancy:
The Lake County Board of Trustees is looking for applicants to fill a vacancy on the Board, for a term that runs through 12/31/2027 (5 year term).
The Board meets once a month
on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30p for 1-2 hours. The Board discusses, evaluates and approves library policy, management, budget, and advocacy.
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and a resident of Lake county. Those interested should send a letter of application to the Lake County Public Library Board, 1115 Harrison, Leadville, CO 80461 or email Kathy O'Leary at kcoleary0@gmail.com. Indicate why you are interested in serving on the Board and what skills, talents, and previous experience that would make you a good candidate for the Trustee position. Please include your email address in application letter. An interview with Library Board of Trustees will follow.
The Library Board of Trustees meets once a month on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm. Meeting are currently being held via Zoom.
