About the Lake County Archives

The Lake County Archives (LCA)  is a non-circulating collection housed in the beautiful Leadville Room of the Lake County Public Library. The archives contain over 4,000 items of various media relating to the history of Leadville and immediate surrounding areas. The collection is available for in person research as well as online research through our ever growing digital collections. We are constantly adding to and reassessing our current collection; for more information on collection development see the LCA Digitization and Collection Development Plan.
