The Lake County Public Library Trustees are appointed by the Lake County Board of County Commissioners, in accordance with the Colorado Library Law (Colorado Revised Statutes, Title 24, Article 90, Section 108). The Board's powers are defined in the Colorado Library Law.

We are not currently accepting applications for board members. However, if you are interested in being notified when there is an opening, please email  trustee@lakecountypubliclibrary.org

Important Trustee activities include:

• Board meeting attendance
• Advocating for the library
• Attending library programs
• Participating in strategic planning

Board terms are 3 years with a maximum of 2 terms. 

Applicants should be at least 18 years of age and a permanent Lake County resident.
