Book Bike

Request the Lake County Public Library “Bibliobicicleta” (book bike) at your next event! This service is dependent on staff availability and weather, so please submit your request to lcpl@lakecountypubliclibrary.org at least 7 days before the event. Library staff will curate a selection of books and/or movies applicable to your community event (you can also make suggestions!) and bring the Bibliobicicleta for about one hour. Bibliobicicleta services include: book and movie check-outs, library card sign-ups, and information on resources provided by the library. The event location must be a reasonable biking distance from the library.

Mobile Checkout

The Lake County Public Library is excited to announce its new mobile check-out program! Designed to increase community access to library materials and resources, this program is currently in its pilot phase. Weekly stops will be planned for the upcoming 2025 summer season. Check the library’s online calendar for updates. 

Services offered at mobile check-out events include: 

• Library card sign-ups
• Check out books and movies (books are available for all ages!)
• Place holds on books and movies
• Pick up Summer Reading materials and activities for children and young adults
• Information on library programs and resources
